The goal of the "Be The Solution to Plastic Pollution" Silver Award Project is to bring awareness to the public about the problem of throw-away plastic pollution and the damage it is causing to our landfills and our oceans.
The website also includes different ways people can both deal more effectively with throw-away plastic and ways to avoid using throw-away plastic by choosing alternative, non-plastic materials.
Finally, the website provides links to more organizations/events/activities for further research or actions by the viewers.

Extension of Bronze Award Project "Plastic Plastic Everywhere"
We have been in Girl Scouts for over 8 years. This topic is important to us because when we reduce plastic pollution it will make the world a better, cleaner, healthier place. We hope our website will encourage others to reduce plastic waste as well!!
